Subject: [Leica] Leica 19/2.8 and Canon 10D

LUGs,

Despite what I often preach to my unenlightened relatives and friends
about believing what is posted on the Internet, I had accepted the
conventional wisdom that the first version Leica 19 could not be used
on the Canon 10D because of mirror movement interference. Until today.

I took the 19 and Cameraquest adapter over to a local big box
electronics store which has a 10D tethered to the display rack (and
five in stock). It worked without problems - no alarming noises, no
marks on either the lens or the mirror. I then tried the lens and
adapter on my own 10D with the same happy result even in the "motor
drive" mode.

My caveat is that this experience is with the 10D body only. I haven't
tried the lens on any of the predecessors or higher end models.
