Until today. I took the 19 and Cameraquest adapter over to a local big box electronics store which has a 10D tethered to the display rack (and five in stock). It worked without problems - no alarming noises, no marks on either the lens or the mirror. I then tried the lens and adapter on my own 10D with the same happy result even in the "motor drive" mode. My caveat is that this experience is with the 10D body only. I haven't tried the lens on any of the predecessors or higher end models.
