Subject: [Leica] Tina - please discuss Leica R lenses on Canon digi body

PMFJI I also use R lenses on my 10D, 60,100,280,400 all have been fine,
I use the Novoflex adapter as well. There is no electrical linkage so
there is actual aperture metering only so it works in aperture priority
or manual modes (shutter priority would require the camera to be able
to stop the lens down to the appropriate aperture on exposure which it
clearly can not do). I often use my Canon lenses in manual focus mode
anyway so the loss of autofocus is no problem. I find limited use for
macro because stopped down it is difficult to focus and it is too
difficult in very close, minimal depth of field, situations to compose
wide open and stop down manually without moving too much for this
situation. The telephotos I use wide open anyway.
