Of course, David, if people can’t tell the difference when they look at
the photos - and it's been made quite clear that they can't - then
what's the problem?

Most of the discussion here still focuses (sorry :-) ) on Leicas and
their use. But the reality is that even the most fanatic Leicaholics -
Take Tina, for example - but don't take her away from us! - are
recognizing that the times they ARE a changin,' and for anyone for whom
photography is anything more than a hobby, its adapt or die.

If this list were to be strictly limited to discussing Leicas - and if
people were limited to posting Leica images - I have little doubt the
list would wither and eventually die.

I agree with Karen.

As set down by Brian, this is a forum to discuss rangefinder photography

and cameras, made by Leica and others, and also other Leica equipment -
be
it 'R' cameras, or Leica made/branded digi cams.

And I happily accept their Leica-lensed cousins, the 'Panshibas'.

Since members began posting photos taken with Canon, Nikon, Oly and
other
fine cameras, this list has degenerated into a general photography
list. The traffic has gone up, but the signal to noise ratio has gone
down.

Please, all. This is a Leica list. While your photos are often
absolutely
marvellous, if they weren't made with at least something Leica, they
don't
belong here.

Thanks.
