Boy, that's an understatement!  Did you not feel limited by the scale 
focusing?  I've never been able to work up enough confidence in my ability to 
estimate distances to try/buy a Rollei 35.

With a 40mm lens, exposing at f5.6 or smaller, zone focusing works pretty 
well. I'll bet if you practiced you could judge distances between 8 and 20 feet 
with less than 10% error. Over 20 ft. it doesn't make much difference. The only 
time I had much of a problem is shooting wide open between 3 and 6 ft. Quite 
a few respectable cameras, including the early Leicas and the Robots used 
scale focusing.
