Hello Richard,
Well another three months have passed in the digital wars so there is a
new crop of cameras.  Go back to K&S and look at the Nikon 5400 and the
Canon G5.  Both are capable of quite good results through A3 sizes for a
modest investment.  You can sample the digital work flow while another
three months go by.  Both Pentax and Canon are rumored to have smallish
5-6MP DSLR's in the wings for the Christmas season.

My wife is "pressuring" me to get a DSLR (what a wife eh?) for certain 
properties that digital posses. So we went to K&S to check out the
cameras. 
I warned her about how much bigger and heavier they are compared to the
OM 
and the M7. Since I am considering an E-1 when it comes out, we looked
at 
the E-20, the D100, the 10D, and just for fun, the 1Ds.
