The camera actually feels really great (much better than the plastic R). My only problem is with the sound. It's much louder than an M (louder than my R8 I'm pretty sure - I didn't do a side by side), and sounds much more "metallic." Other than that I was very impressed with it. It would be a great camera if you don't mind it sounding like an SLR. Or it would make a great 2nd M body. It would be nice to have that 1/125 sync speed if you need that kind of thing. I think I'll try to get a deal on a M6TTL instead however. It is much noisier than an M, It's lighter than an M. light meter pattern is more like the nikon 60/40 pattern whereas the M6 and 7 are semi-spot meters. The only other caveat is that the magnification of the viewfinder is such that using a 50/1.4 or 75/1.4 would be tough in critical focusing situations. Other pluses to the R2 is NO Rangerfinder Patch Flare and then of course the cost. ernie On Monday, July 28, 2003, at 05:28 AM, mcintyre@ca.inter.net wrote: > Does anyone have any opinons on the Bessa R2?
