If Sherry and the other independents are forced out of business by this I will probably dump my old Leica gear (M2, M3, SL2) and stick with only the newer stuff (M7 and R7). Leica is faced with a delicate balancing act, maintaining support of antique gear and moving forward with new product, all within the framework (pun) of a very competitive and rapidly changing photo industry. Who exactly is do well in the photo game right now? The list is very short, so short there is likely only one name on it: Canon. Leica is at least holding its own, in fact 2002 was a banner year (relatively speaking, of course) for the M7. Gary - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
