I did this with my single cam lenses when I got my R4SP and they work just great with full metering capability. The cost, here in the US was minimal. I also have a R4S. Obviously the metering doesn't couple if I put the 50mm on the R4S, but can I meter by using the DOF lever to stop down the single cam lens? I realise that the answer is 'try it', but at the moment the R4S is here in the UK and the SL and lens are in France.
