I have had both of my slr's in for CLA and one of them for repair, I had a lens in for fixing stuck focussing ring, and all came back within 1 to 2 weeks max. of them receiving them. I always check within 3 days of sending my equipment, to make sure they received it. This way I know the shipper delivered it in the time stated. I have been very happy with NJ's service and the pricing of the repairs. They have always been very responsive when I called to check on progress, which has always been much faster than their quoted repair times. Since it was under warranty, I sent it to Leica USA in Northvale, NJ. At the end of May, I received a printout indicating that the unit was received and should be repaired in three weeks. As of yesterday, I had not heard anything so I phone Leica and spoke with a service representative. The person I spoke with indicated that they were behind and my unit was on the technician's test bench being worked on right now. Imagine that! Well, anyway, I was told to expect it back the end of next week which will effectively be two months since it was sent to Leica. I'm curious abou LUG experiences with Leica repair....this seems an excessively long repair to me. Have others experienced this as well? Maybe this is the typical length of time it takes for a repair, but I don't know.
