Just MHO. > > sl That's one of the clearest descriptions I've seen of the mechanism by which hatred and bigotry are perpetuated. Something I've seen and experienced, in all it's lethal violence, firsthand. Remember the Battle of the Boyne and the brave Apprentice Boys of Londonderry - No Surrender! to the Catholics. Remember the Battle of Kosovo in 1389 and the defeat of the Turks (read Muslims). (and remember, children, they aren't like us at all, those Turks, the Catholics, those "Japs" they are all sub-human) The perpetuation of such memories from generation to generation, untempered by any sense of history, forgiveness or perspective is what still fuels violence from Northern Ireland to Rwanda to Serbia. All civilised people chose to limit the freedom of expression in one form or another. The US is one such people, recognising that hatred, bigotry and racism are the antithesis of any such freedom. - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
