Let's not get crazy, B.D. Likening Washington's attack on Trenton to Pearl
Harbor demonstrates a very wobbly knowledge of history. When Washington
crossed the Delaware a state of war existed between the British Empire and
the colonies. On December 7, 1941 Japanese diplomats were meeting Secretary
of State Cordell Hull to negotiate an end to the U.S. embargo, a ploy that
added to the deception.
