May  I also offer and unsolicited comment: The Digilux 1 is quite fast, 
and by turning of white light and other tricks can be made even faster, 
but it will still not respond as quickly to the thrust of a finger as 
an M. Sometimes on Auto, you press the shutter and "nothing" happens 
while the camera "thinks". I stand there pushing and pushing sometimes 
- --- "take the thing, quick!!!" and nothing seems to happen, then the 
flash ignites and you have missed the shot :-(

Could someone list all the things which need to be switched off to 
speed up the Digilux 1 please. I know about white light.
