Subject: Re: [Leica] Canon adapter for R lenses

The Cameraquest adapter works fine and comes off the lens easily simply by pushing on a tab protruding from the edge of the adapter. The tab looks a little flimsy though but I've had no problems with it yet.

However, I too have found that the 19mm Elmarit protrudes too far into the body preventing it from mounting onto the EOS 10D.

Like all these adapters, metering is performed with the lens stopped down (so you have to set the camera to manual or aperture priority metering modes). I've found that at smaller apertures, exposure compensation is required (I can't remember if the camera over/under exposes though but it's easy enough to check on a digital EOS).

Joe Chan
