Subject: RE: [Leica] R8 Battery and shutter

I've noticed that my R8's are very touchy when the contacts between the
back/body and body/winder are at all dirty. I clean them with 91% alcohol
(rubbing, not drinking) every couple weddings I do. No problems sice I've
been doing that, and some strange stuff used to happen with them before.

I think there's 22 of the damn things! :)

My experience would indicate NO, that the battery will either be so weak
that it doesn¹t work at all, or it¹s ok and works. In other words it¹s
either working or not. Never had a weak battery produce shutter lag or
metering problems.
