Bob -

I'm using Portfolio to catalogue everything. I still use the same filing
system that I've used since I got started. Everything is filed first by
country, then by category within the country, then by location in the
files. 61949-02613 means that the photo is of Honduras (619) and is of
children (49), is located on slide page #26 in slot #13. Within Portfolio,
I have folders for each country with subfolders for the categories. The
CD's are filed by country. Portfolio will tell me exactly which CD to look
on for a particular photo. Portfolio can also search by keywords and
captions. With digital photos, instead of physical location in the filing
cabinet for the second half of the number I use the date the photo was taken.

Hope this helps!

Tina
