As to the 75 though, I have to say that I just don't see the point. It's a weird neither nor focal length. In fact, if they could get the stunning image quality of the present 75 1.4 in a 50 1.4, I could see discontinuing the 75. Then you'd have two outstanding 35s, a mind-blowing 50, and a 90 that's so sharp it should be illegal to carry it. :-) B. Heck I'd probably sell the 50mm Summicron to help finance it. :-) Steve - -----Original Message----- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us] On Behalf Of Ted Grant Sent: 27 June 2003 02:35 To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: Re: [Leica] Interesting comment in Leica chat Rolfe Tessem offered: >>> Since we're guessing, I'll bet on a 35mm Noctilux.<<<< Right on Rolfe and at a mere $4500 in US $'s why we can all buy one. ;-) Or one of us buy one and rent it out to each other for a week at a time for a minor sum of $500.00 a week just for the fun of it. ;-) After it's paid for we loan it out for free. ;-) Yeah right and the moon is made of yellow cream cheese. ;-) ted - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
