Here is the plan:

1) Have color separations made of photos. (Not necessary
for b&w.

2) Find a nice, dry cave.

3) Chisel each separation channel into cave wall. Use
relief depth to indicate gray level.

Now that's archival!

It will be a little bit of a pain for future anthropologists
to get the registration correct and adjust the color balance,
but it is worth it, in the end.
