Liz,

You must understand that this list is more like a pub than a camera club
meeting. When photogs get together at a pub, they seldom pass around
pictures. They talk about exhibits, food, drink; they pass their cameras
around, and talk about sticky shutters. They talk about their successes,
and the "ones that got away; "almost everything except show pictures.

About once a week, sometimes more, sometimes less, comes a subject that
builds controversy. In the case of this one, many of us have had contact in
one way or another with Bob Shell. Some of us have met him in person, most
of us have read his work in Shutterbug, Rangefinder, and several other
publications. Many of us have benefited by his vast knowledge of
rangefinder cameras.

So for many of us. it is not just a subject of passing interest, but a very
unhappy circumstance to a person we know.

As Mark Rabiner says, (paraphrased) "The last word will be when the subject
dies out on its own." In the meantime, I think your computer is equipped
with a delete key?

SonC (hoping to get some photography in today!)
