Ah. I took the ³in this fashion;² to mean the photo as apposed to shooting technique.
I too find the joy of grabbing shots on the run (kind of a why not, it¹s free feeling), which I wouldn¹t normally take the time to play with using other film equipment, to be one of the pluses for the little Digilux1. And in fact this playing aspect is having a positive affect on my film work. The ³polaroid² nature of the digi allows for all kinds of testing. Testing lighting setups, shutter speeds, compositions, crazy ideas ‹ it seems to push my boundaries faster than film experimentation would ‹ and once you¹ve got the box, at no cost.
And I suspect that if I had a D1s, I¹d still want the little Digilux, or something like it, for these playing purposes. The Digilux seems quite perfect in this regard. I imagine the size, weight and file size of the D1s would throw me back into pro-mode rather than what-the-hell-play-mode.
Fond regards,
