Well, if one has an extensive collection of Leica-R lenses, like a few on
this list surely have, it's a cheaper way to go than to replace all the R
lenses for Canon lenses, is my guess

$7500 for a 10 megapixel camera with a 1.3x chip.  What possible reason
could anyone have for choosing something like this over the EOS1Ds?  Good
old Leica, behind the curve as usual.
