Something is wrong with "your" 28mm Summicron ASPH. It's my workhorse,
by far the most used M lens,and one of the, overall, better lens I own,
perhaps with my SWC 38mm Biogon, and if it has a small vignetting -les
than a IL at f1:2 -, it's absolutely gone at f1:4! You'd better contact
Leica dealer.

PS. Use a Heliar 12mm full open a sunny day, catching of course a big
ammount of sky, if you really wish to know "what" is vignneting...
(almost two ILs, one IL(!) at f1:11.
