A snip test is where a few inches of film are pulled out and processed.
From the frame or so that is developed you can adjust your development time
accordingly. This is really best used when you are off on your exposure in
the 1/2 to 1/3 stop range. You know, you have just shot twenty rolls in the
studio and before you process the balance you want to know if you read your
Polaroid's and light meter correctly. Most labs charge almost as much for a
snip test as they do a roll, so why not test a whole roll?
