I have always had winders on all of my R cameras. The winders are a joy to
use as they are lighter and smaller than the drive and do a perfect job of
advancing the film without human intervention. Batteries seem to last a
v-e-r-y long time.

I once sold an R6 (sans winder as the winder moved to my new R7) and
discovered that the manual wind lever mechanism had a problem of not being
able to completely wind the frame one out of three or four winds. I had
never seen this since the winder was mated to the R6 since the day I opened
the box. My current two R7's and one R4sP all have winders attached and
there they will stay.

Why use a dump truck when a simple pick-up will work.

Jim
