Frank:

I have purchased the Epson 3200 scanner specifically to use to get
slide film from my M6 into a digital format to print out on an Epson
2200.
The scanner is super and I did not get the more expensive model. There
is not a difference in specs between the two, just in software
variations that come with the system.
I did not need Monaco EZ color as I already have it, and you do get a
different version of Silverfast software, but nothing I need. So I
opted to pay less $$$$ and got the same scanner.
Good luck in your choice.
