Hi Tina,
Thank you for the kind words. I live in Northamptonshire which is 65 miles
north of London. Whenever you drive into Northamptonshire the county sign
proclaims "Northamptonshire Rose of the Shires". I always used to think
"yeah right!", turns out my sarcasm was unwarranted.

To fuel the PAW project I bought a book of "Northamptonshire Walks" and what
I see on those walks is what you see on my site. I too used to be of the
same opinion as Jerry, thinking it necessary to travel further afield to get
suitable images. I have come to believe that Northamptonshire is just as
good in its way, you just need the information to find the right places.

I am not making the place look better than it is. My photographs are
faithful representations of what is here. I am not picking angles to obscure
gasometers behind the splendid churches or cloning old bedsteads out of the
canals and whilst it is nice to be complimented on my skill, the truth is a
rudimentary knowledge of a camera and decent gear will yield results here.

I have lived in Northampton all my life and it took some guy in Philadelphia
to make me look at it and appreciate what I have. Funny old world.
