It sure is, only problem is that it is low contrast and sensitive to 
flare, so it needs a shade.  A shade which, of course, costs more than 
the damn lens itself!

I haven't got one, but I suspect that the A36-mount 35mm f/3.5 Summaron 
is a good compromise between quality and size.  I've seen some stuff 
Roy Moss has shot with it (or maybe it was an E39 mount version) and he 
puts it to very good use.  But then, he goes most lenses.
