Because of the large thread area, even the mild loctite will make the 
adapter very difficult to undo. Loctite does make special stuff 
designed to hold adjusters which, if applied in miniscule amounts MAY 
allow reasonably OK removal. NO GUARANTEES! How about a small drop of 
paint or linseed oil just as the two surfaces mate together. That way 
it does not get spread all over the threads.
