Does it? > > Jerry Hello Jerry: In fact from a legal point of view, that's all it has to do with. Property is a legal concept and it imports some indication or level of ownership. Copyright law intends to protect exactly that, the value of that ownership interest. I won't get into the fine points of copyright/intellectual property law - that's not my field of practice - but it is exactly why "fair use" for non-commercial purposes is permitted without royalty. None of this has anything to do with the breach of trust in publishing on the LUG something that presumably was supposed to be for Erwin's group alone.
