John--

How do they do it? That is, how does one travel by sea? Are there agencies
you can contact that will book you on a freighter? I'm not that wild about
flying, either, and would love to take a "journey" (and take my son,
especially, who would love it) by sea. Do tell if you have more info about
logistics.

I have acquaintances in Hawaii who never travel by air. One of them has
a particularly strong phobia of flying. They travel extensively by sea
and land and have been able to travel pretty much everywhere they
wanted to; albeit at a reduced pace.
