Obviously there is more labor(!) involved. You do seem to be asking for some sort of validation or your last paragraph below would have been the header. Instead you listed the high expenses of a medical practitioner as a preamble. Your question is one that I have indeed asked of myself, (in rare moments of introspection), as I have scrimped and saved for all of my (used) Leica gear, at the expense of quality of life issues.
