Panasonic places this disclaimer in some materials:

"The LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMICRON lens and the LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens
are manufactured using measurement instruments and quality assurance
systems that have been certified by Leica Camera AG based on the
company's quality standards."

I believe Panasonic made the original Mini and Mini 2, as well as a
number of other branded P&S film cameras.
