With Lucas, the principal thing which goes wrong is the contact surfaces.
Open the item up, clean the contacts, and you're good to go.

Even the later Lucas stuff can be drilled open and fixed, vastly different
from Bosch.  And Bosch rarely sells component parts, where Lucas does so.
