I think the OT stuff is everyone's very human attempt to connect, and in the
absence of a local pub where all these folks can go to fetch a pint in the
afternoon, we have this! Can you imagine this cast of thieves in one room?
Hilarious!

For better or worse, OT is the life of the LUG. There are more
interesting OT subjects, discussed in more interesting and
informative ways on the LUG than any other area of the internet that
I have discovered, and I have been on it a while.

Photo topics, including equipment, techniques and of course, the
results, are the most interesting parts of this, but all the other
interests and viewpoints enhance the experience and in the end are
the reason I continue to be on the LUG. Leicas are nice artifacts of
the machine kind, but you can't fondle them forever. The friends from
the LUG I have made, and met, all over the world are extremely
precious to me and make dealing with these often *#@!@# computers
worthwhile.

(I just spent 3 hours getting my e-mail machine (OS 8.6, 5yr. old
Powerbook) relatively healthy again!!!!)
