I wouldn't prefer Laphroig if I didn't like peaty, salty, smoky
iodine (seaweed) flavour.

Glenfiddich is at the opposite end of the Scotch spectrum, but
still drinkable.

For value for money, you can't beat Bowmor.  It is also an
Islay malt. (It is half the price of Laphroig)
