Another vote for Vuescan - http://www.hamrick.com

I bought it within hours of downloading it, and have been taking advantage
of the free upgrades ever since :-) I can't help wondering how much Ed has
made from this software - not that I begrudge him any of it.

which shows the clipping that goes on with their software - THIS is not a 
problem with Vuescan which has been said many times before - has to be the 
software bargain of the decade...
