No, I am not suggesting anything except 1) to do what you think is right,
and 2) to take plenty of time prior to making a purchase so you don't have
to sell your toys before they are out of warranty.

If you want to find a loophole, I'm sure you'll find one. If so,
congratulations.

You are suggesting that a person fraudulently represents themselves as
the owner of an item in order to receive a benefit. I am sure it has
been done but I do not think that a Leica dealer should be suggesting
that this is good practice on a email list. Why do you not run it by
Leica and see what they have to say?
