Putting the lens used in the subject line is sure way to get comments on
your photographs though. If he'd put "taken with UV filter" or "used a
rapidwinder" in the title he'd have been overwhelmed with comments.

Beautiful pictures whatever the lens.

Okay, I'll stick out my neck, since you have asked for comments, I'll
state the following, with a great deal of respect for your abilities as
a photographer:

Rei, you have a really terrific eye, great sense of composition, control
of exposure - but IMHO you degrade what would otherwise be really
classic images by a fixation with using an inappropriate lens. I firmly
believe that if you posted these same images, and told people that you
had shot them with a Canon 50 1.2, or .95, or even with the Canon 85
1.2, people would be talking about the really ugly bokeh and truly
bizarre isolating effect the lens has on the central subjects of the
photos. But as this is the LUG, I know full well what people will say
instead is, "WOW! I'm gonna get me one a them Nocktiluxes!" But of
course very few of their photos will be anything like yours, because few
people on this list have your eye and basic photographic skills.

Best

B. D.

with NYC recently hitting a couple of days perilously close to 0 F, i
thought it was a good time to scan in some beach photos i took last
summer with the noctiluxed leica and other cameras.

i am trying a new way (for me) of making web pages with thumbnails; i
hope it works:

http://www.shinozuka-family.com/20020622beach/.thumbnails/page.html

(i did this because i discovered that eazel nautilus automatically made
these nice-looking thumbnails, and i figured, why not use them?)

i'll eventually come up with a better url convention.
