Why not printout the rapidwinder info off the web page so you can prove
it is a piece harmless of photo equipment.

Because what the Rapidwinder was designed to be is utterly meaningless:
in the wrong hands, it is no more a harmless piece of photo equipment
than an ice pick. And it is certainly no more a harmless piece of photo
equipment than knitting needles, nail files, or any of dozens of other
banned items. I hope this never becomes an issue for any of us, but if I
were running security, I sure as hell would ban rapidwinders  - which
are long, sharp, strong hidden "blades" folded into relatively heavy
objects that can served as handles.
