Hunt's is a long way from anywhere but Melrose, Massachusetts. Okay, it
is also proximate to Saugus. Yeah, yeah, Stoneham isn't so far away
either. Hunt's Drugs used to be this wonderfully idiosyncratic place
where you could get a prescription filled while you ogled a dozen or so
M-3s and played with the Wistas. Now they have become a mediocre camera
shop which is devoted more to mail order than floor sales. The staff is
equally unknowledgeable and unhelpful. The stock is pretty poor unless
you want a point 'n' shoot or the 13.5mm to 135mm/f5.6-64 Auto Focus
Stigmata. On the other hand, Hunt's does seem to have at least a little
bit of everything and will pretend to order for you.

That said, a lot of people love Hunt's and remain devoted customers, so
who am I to judge. In fact, there are probably people ON THIS VERY LIST
who love Hunt's, so please forget I ever mentioned, "Stay the hell away
from Hunt's."

Buzz, why would that be?

Patrick, if we have one at my place, you will be more in the sticks than
of the sticks.
