As far as Photogs who can write, and mentioning Life Magazine..Gordon Parks come to mine. Produced his current book; A Star for Noon: In Homage to Women In Images, Poetry & Music in 2000. Think he's 84 now. Also, there are many poetry books where the author also photographed.
