Subject: [Leica] 24mm Elmarit Filter - And the wonderful Dremel tool..

So I disregarded the popular 'go naked' sentiment expressed here on the LUG
and bought a slim fit B&W UV filter for my 24 Asph elmarit...
Yes, it was insanely expensive.
And yes, having a filter will make me take my camera out more often, worry
less, shoot more, and be, generally, more creative.
Extinguish those flames..

It arrived today - and I as I was warned, it prevented the lens hood from
attaching.
But hey, looky there, the filter blocks the hood because it lacks those 2
tabs for the filter to engage.
So.. Out came that Dremel tool - and bingo two new tabs on the filter.
The hood now snaps into place!

Never ever thought I would take a dremel tool to anything optical or even
closely Leica related..
