Mere mortals, indeed!
I've noticed that repairpersons will tell you how
elaborate a repair maybe, but they never tell you the
little recalibrations that are just little screwturns.
Then again most charge extra to the people who come
in w/ repairs that they have botched & cant
reassemble.
FOr anyone curious, heres a good site where a photo
teacher has done a lot of DIY to leica copies:
http://www.pusang-puti.0catch.com/
file it under : Teach a man to fish....

...I wonder if they worry
about "mere mortals" being able to fix it.
