Google News has a database of 4000 newspapers, and you can ask it to search all of them at once. Typing the search query
	photographer cheney maginnis
into Google News will give you the 2600 article but nothing else. My opinion is that if this story were true, that at least one other newspaper would have mentioned it.

Pick something that really happened, like (say) "nuns murdered" or "bank fraud" and you will see thousands of articles. Pick something really obscure, like "tompkins county commissioner", and you'll see lots of newspapers that you never knew existed.
