Well I guess the LUG is the best place to get the last word on boring.
(So, can we move on to discussing the best bag for my R3 kit now?)

I can see how people might consider his work boring, but I was reacting 
to the notion that his work is 'soulless'. That is a notion I fully 
reject.

Really, how can a photograph can have 'soul' at all? It happens in two 
ways: 1) the subject's soul is captured visually by the  photographer, 
or 2) the photographer's soul is captured by their interpretation of 
their subject. I've seen Adams photos that work both ways.
