I find Adams photographs exceedingly impressive from a technical point of view and I recognize and am very grateful for his contributions to photographic education and to the preservation of American countryside and nature. I think the photographic world would be much poorer without his contributions. But the actual photographs themselves often leave me thinking, "Ok. Fern." That said, I must admit that I'm not intimately familiar with his photography. I believe that he also shot portraits, mostly using a Hassy, and I'm much more of a "people" kinda guy than I am a "splendour of nature" kinda guy.
