What, what, what, what, WHAT????

What is this American approach? We in Australia separated from the American
style in the mid-eighties and early nineties. You won't see much Monte Zucker
lighting here. Not that it is not beautiful, but it is a little too stiff and
formal for us. As for the market, and here I assume you mean the costs, how does
it cost more for to cover a wedding without any extra lights, assistants, 120
cameras, etc, than it does with a kit of Leica over your shoulder? So many
people have this "it won't work in my town" mentality. Then someome comes in and
takes over the town.We spend an hour or so after the service wandering around a
city, a beach or any other suitable location without even the expense of a
studio. I have a suspicion that the "English approach" may be in the mind of the
photographers. :-)

I would LOVE to have your light to cover my weddings, instead of having to wait
till sundown to reduce the contrast. .............and your scenery!!..... with
all those lovely textures and old buildings!!!

Tell you what. find me a wedding to shoot in England, I'll speak to them on the
phone about the costs and I'll come over.

All the best Gerry,

Rob
