Steve,  He has the opposite problem, the adapter is on the body by itself,
not on the lens.

...I do not think an adapter will ever get 'stuck' The adapter is a very
tight fit, just like it should be. There are three ways to get the adapter
off; first turn the lens without pressing the lens release button -- the
lens come off leaving the adapter still on the body -- then press the
release button and tap the adapter gently with some solid object. Second,
unscrew the adapter from the lens, hard to do with your fingers, so use a
dampened chamois (the dampened chamois is also good for taking the battery
cover off), Or, three, use on of those leica rear lens caps that is designed
to take off an adapter.
