Yes, Leica did sell a right angle finder made in Japan that fit both the SL
series and the R(1-5).  I can't say whether it was made by Minolta.  Anybody
doing work other than at eye level should acquire a right angle finder; it
encourages different compositions.

Mine has two part numbers on it, 14328 and 14329.
