This was the first time this was used by a German corporation. This makes vote counting very fast as each attending shareholder has a small radio transmitter to send his vote(s) to the counting machine. Cohn said he believes that Leica made a profit during the first half of the fiscal (to 30 Sept) and sales were up 5% on last yr.
