D. B.D. I use too a AFS 17-35 and my main concern, if there are not many buildings or straight lines, is not distortion that by the way is rather big, but strong flare and vignetting. My M 21 ASPH works much better in this field. I'm awaiting the new Vario Elmar 21-35 R and a as soon as I get it, besides shooting on the field, I'll test comparatively M21, R21-35 at 21 and AFS 17-35 at 21. I can foresee in advance the results, unless some big surprise, buth then when some one ask about this comparison I'll give an opinion based on facts not in names or brands. Today exactly my wife is declared by doctors, after 4 months, as absolutely cured, she was at home but not allowed to work, so I believe that very soon I'll be able to offer some pictures to the LUG as I shall have more time.
